The Science Alliance Chinadesk holds two networks:
- Co Innovation Program
- Co Development Program
Co Innovation Program
The Co-Innovation program is based on the premise that collaboration increases innovation. The partners in this endeavor are Province of South Holland and the Shanghai Pudong region. Collaboration extends across the scientific disciplines of Life Sciences, ICT and New Materials. The scope of the program will be extended to include a.o. Greenports. Science Alliance’s China Desk is the facilitator of the program for the province of South Holland.
Co Development Program
CDP is an initiative of Hebei Province, People’s Republic of China and South-Holland Province, the Netherlands to stimulate economic growth and cooperation networks between Hebei and South Holland. CDP offers first rank access to and information on Hebei Province for companies and universities in South Holland. CDP focuses on creating opportunities for investment, cooperation and network building between enterprises, colleges and universities, as well as research institutes.
With a population of 68,5 million and an industrial environment that is rapidly developing from heavy industry to hi-tech, Hebei Province has much to offer companies and universities in South Holland. Located in the North of China, Hebei Province completely surrounds the megacities of Beijing and Tianjin and acts as their economic hinterland as well as a source for food and energy supply. Hebei Province therefore offers opportunities to access the Chinese market and initiate cooperation initiatives in a rapidly developing economy and society.
CDP offers several services to parties in South Holland to access Hebei province, such as consultancy and research as well as network building and data supply.
