Floris Buijzen finished his master education 'Life Science & Technology' at the Delft University of Technology in september 2009. During his education he was always interested in the commercial and communicative aspects of Life Sciences. He has been part of the 'Travelling DNA Labs' team, in which students provide for guest practicals at secondary schools across the entire country to let the students experience real scientific research. He has completed the Science Based Business master's track, including an internship at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. During this internship he analyzed the Dutch Healthcare Sector and was partly responsible for the publication of the annual health care study report 'De Zeven Zorgen'. Within Science Alliance Floris' main activities are the development and execution of activities for the Dutch Clinical Trial Foundation (DCTF). |

Martijn van de Veen is a student at Leiden University where he studies Biomedical Sciences. Here at Science Alliance he is busy with his final-and graduate internship at the unit Life Science & Health. During his previous internships at the LUMC he conducted research in the fundamental and pre-clinical area of (bio)medical research within the departments Endocrinology and Molecular Cell Biology-Virus and Stem cell Biology. Now his main activities and responsibilities are to realize a masterclass containing rules and regulation for senior clinical researchers. |
